12 July 2008 - Ventura Theater

Countless Hours officially has another show under their belt, and congratulations to Tyler for a successful first show ever!

Big ups to John and SoCal Musician for booking this one.

I had been told in the days leading up to the show that this was going to be an epic one. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The boys HEADLINED it.

In the absence of dear Janaye, I stood in our usual spot front-center and tried to rock out twice as hard, channeling her spirit. Hopefully I did her proud.

As for Countless Hours, they rocked harder, sounded better, and from what I saw last night, I know for a fact that they are only going to improve. Of course, there were a few rough spots here and there due to some new additions and some "environmental issues", but Ryan, Aaron, Tyler, Bob and Hunter handled it like true pros and these rough spots hardly affected the show as a whole. Overall, it was definitely their most enjoyable performance yet! They even got some compliments from the Ventura Theater sound guys *le gasp!*. Friends, Fans and Band Members alike all walked out happily that night.

OH! One more thing. It was a tasty surprise when they didn't end with Second Chances (formerly known as All In)
like before, but instead closed their set with a new one! The new song is called Never Change and features a dual guitar solo. Yes indeedy, Tyler gets one and then Aaron gets one. Not gonna lie, I peed a little when that happened.

And of course, can't wait to hear the finished product of their upcoming EP. Which, I've been told, is shaping up really well.

If you missed this one, don't worry, you'll make it to the next one!

Looking forward to the future.

P.P.S. Vote on flashrock. Duh.
